CHEC is the first intersectoral fair of the Chile's creative economy, which gathers national creators with companies of different productive sectors, empowering the innovative and creative ecosistem in Chile.
We are the space for connectivity, development, professionalization, articulation and mobility of the creative economy in Chile, empowering innovation, the social, economic and cultural dynamism of our country.
Being the vanguard inter-sector fair and conference of the creative economy in Latin America.
How does CHEC come about?
It arises from a public-private partnership between the Cámara de Comercio de Santiago (CCS) and the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage (MINCAP), within the framework of the National Plan for the Promotion of Creative Economy, which seeks promote the sustainable development of creative endeavors, strengthen intersectoral synergies and increase professionalization rates to contribute to economic development and the generation of knowledge and innovation, prioritizing our identity and cultural diversity.
In the 2018’s edition, several activities will be realized where artists, companies and other types of organizations are invited to participate.
Creative vendors: Artists or creators that offer services, products and / or projects from the following creative sectors:
- Performing Arts
- Audiovisual, videogames and animation
- Visual Arts
Intermediaries: Mediators, managers or operators of creative or related sectors, who provide services, or have portfolios of projects that conglomerate creative sellers. (managers, producers, festivals, sales agents, distributors, programmers, etc.).
Traditional private companies that can contract, acquire, sponsor or support creative services or projects (traditional productive sectors: mining, telecommunications, banks, insurers, construction companies, retail, etc.).
Cultural and recreational organizations, public and private, National or International that require and / or can contract, schedule sponsor or support services, products and / or projects from different creative sectors (venues, festivals, foundations, bars, circuits, municipal cultural centers, corporations or foundations, etc.).
Educational institutions that encourage, require or are able to program, sponsor or support services, products and / or projects from different creative sectors (Daem, schools, universities, etc.).
International institutions that incentivize or require programming, support, sponsorship or financing – through application to projects, funds, training, etc. – services, products and / or projects from different creative sectors (cultural institutes, embassies, foundations, international entities, etc.).
Public entities that incentivize, can support or finance – through application to projects, funds, training, etc. – to services products and / or projects from different creative sectors (Prochile, Corfo, Municipalities, etc.).
Business incubators in sectors of the creative industry that can support, incubate or finance – through application to projects, funds, training, etc. – services, products and / or projects from different creative sectors (incubators, co-work, etc.).
Associations and guilds of the creative sectors in order to generate intersectoral links, share success models, etc.
